Dan Rather Gets Fired
Via Ace.
So, Mr. Rather, you've lost your credibility, your self-respect, your power to lie to the American people, and now your job.
Courage, Mr. Rather.
Courage.
On a related note, I chuckled my way through this morning's Times-Picayune Thomas Freidman's column. He made some crack about America now having one official television station. He never said he was referring to FoxNews, but of course you'd have to be living in a cave not to catch the allusion.
Mr. Friedman - and anyone else out there who doesn't understand capitalism - doesn't seem to realize that Fox News is getting bigger because people choose to watch it. Maybe they don't like being lied to on Sixty Minutes. Maybe they don't like CNN slanting every single news story against conservatives (i.e. the majority of America). Maybe they get disgusted because Anderson Cooper seems to have two last names.
Whatever the reason, when people turn off the television, the television stations don't get any money (unless you live in North Korea).
