Liveblogging the Blogs (Louisiana)

So far, I'm not seeing much.

This guy is calling the state for Bush (a safe bet, to say the least). In the far more interesting race, he's predicting that Vitter (R) will lose in a runoff to John (D). If there is a runoff, it's hard to argue with him. If.

For what it's worth, he refers to news gleaned from Atrios as "good news," and I see Kos on his blogroll, so his political leanings shouldn't be any great mystery.

In my comments, James Hood says Chris John has no support in the north (Shreveport area), thinks rainfall might let Vitter take the race without a runoff. His blog doesn't seem to have much Louisiana-specific news, but follow the link for national stuff.

Mjkearns in Baton Rouge and his wife report extremely long lines. Again, nothing much as far as Louisiana-specific news on the blog, but I love the name.

jb1954 Confirms the rumors about very heavy voter turnout in St. Tammany Parish. 100 people in line at 6:15 in the morning. That's just sick. Says it's mostly Bush/Cheney support over there. Her homepage isn't bloggy, but says she's been smoke-free for six years. Congratulations, that's very impressive!
