The Pro-Life Train Rolls On

The Mississippi house of reps just got a bill through committee that looks similar to the South Dakota ban. The only exception is for the life of the woman (no rape, incest, or health of the woman exceptions).

I haven't looked at the bill yet, so I'll have to get back to you on that.

In related news, Kate Looby announced that she plans on spending the day drinking heavily and then crying herself to sleep. Which, of course, she's perfectly free to do, because her mother opted not to stab her in the base of the skull with a pair of scissors and suction out her brain. Or tear her arms off in utero.

Update: Mississippi governor Haley Barbour says he will likely sign a ban. The House Speaker (a Democrat) believes the bill will pass the House and the Senate.
