An Immigration Soundbite

From today's Review-Journal, in an article about immigration reform:

"It is every politician's nightmare: an issue that can't be summed up in an appealing sound bite, but that arouses people's passion to the point where they may cross party lines when they go to the polls."

I disagree. I think my view on the issue can easily be summed up in a soundbite. "Help them get here legally, punish the illegals, build a wall to keep out more illegals." The first clause should be enough to satisfy rational pro-immigrationists, and the second two protect the integrity of our laws and borders.

Obviously there's more to the issue, but then again, all the Review-Journal wanted was a soundbite.
