Good Grounds for a Continuance

I assume Florida law is more or less similar to Nevada law on asking for a continuance (pushing back the date) of a trial. Basically, you ask the judge really nice, and if the judge thinks you're being reasonable and not just trying to screw with your opponent, he or she will say that's fine.
